Message from Honourary Chair John Baird
"The Fund for a New Generation is a group of young professionals that proudly serve our community. Each year, this group of creative and energetic volunteers give their time and effort organizing the Ottawa Gala, one of the premier events of the year in the Nation's Capital. I became involved with this group because of their connection to the Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation's School Breakfast Program, the Gala's primary beneficiary. In my riding alone there are 19 schools that benefit from the program with last year's donation translating into over 40,000 breakfasts for children in need in our community.
I applaud the Fund for a New Generation for their efforts to improve the future of at-risk children in Ottawa and I look forward to working together in 2008."
